The Problems

Indoor Pollution

Indoor Pollution

Indoor Pollution

Reliance on burning wood and charcoal is a major factor for deaths in Haiti caused by  indoor air pollution.

Deforestation

Indoor Pollution

Indoor Pollution

About 946,500 metric tons of charcoal are consumed in Haiti annually, damaging ecosystems and infrastructure.

Fertilizer Cost

Indoor Pollution

Fertilizer Cost

Synthetic fertilizers are expensive to

purchase and difficult to transport, especially for farmers in rural areas.

The Solution

Biodigesters convert organic waste from food or animals into biogas - a clean cooking fuel - and bioslurry - a safe, organic fertilizer.

By providing a more sanitary alternative to wood and charcoal consumption, we can tackle indoor air pollution and deforestation.

We help low-income families in Haiti transition to biogas technologies.
